In Person Counselling

I offer 50 minute sessions of in-person counselling at The Fintry Trust just outside Godalming and Haslemere. The Fintry Trust is a beautiful and peaceful Arts and Crafts mansion set in over thirteen acres of grounds. We can remain in the comfortable therapy room or, if the weather is lovely, we can move into the gardens and either sit in one of the many bench areas or walk around the private grounds.

How does it work?

A free introductory chat

The first step is to arrange a free no-commitment phone or online session typically lasting 20 minutes where you can talk about what is troubling you, and we can discuss ways in which I can help. After that you can decide whether you feel I am the right person to support you in counselling.

The call is a great way for you to decide if I could be the right person to support you. The most important part of therapy is the relationship between the counsellor and client so it is important for you to find the right person, someone you feel at ease with and who you feel has the right balance of knowledge, warmth and trustworthiness. Someone you feel you could be comfortable speaking to about very personal subjects.

The first session

In the first session we will discuss in more detail what brings you to therapy and I will aim to understand what you are looking to achieve, improve or resolve.

How long does counselling take?

I am happy to work on either a short-term or open-ended basis, with sessions lasting 50 minutes. In our initial discussion we will talk about whether you want to work on a short-term goal or whether you may be looking for more open-ended support.

How much does it cost.

Sessions cost £50. I provide online and telephone counselling and face to face counselling at The Fintry Trust just outside Godalming.
